Cranial Osteopathy
If you have been affected by trauma, injuries, accidents, falls, etc, your body may learn to compensate for these past events by holding tension and even emotion in the tissues and muscles of your body, thereby affecting your range of motion and overall function.
As osteopathic manual practitioners, we are highly trained to feel and sense subtle changes of tension in the tissues which can cause strain and dysfunction in the whole body. We will work to activate your body’s innate intelligence to heal and balance itself.
In a cranial treatment, an osteopath tunes into the condition of your living anatomy and physiology, and how it has coped with stress and trauma. As your body comes into balance, you may experience immediate release of tension and feel an overall sense of balance on a physical, mental, and even emotional level. Different systems within your body will also start to integrate and work more effectively (e.g., your circulatory and digestive system will start to function in harmony with each other).
Cranial osteopathic treatment is very gentle and relaxing. You may become more aware of where you hold tension or even numbness. As it gradually dissipates, you will feel a sense of warmth and relaxation, and may even fall asleep for a few minutes and wake up feeling refreshed and balanced.
Cranial Osteopathy is beneficial in treating a wide range of conditions that include:
- Arthritis
- Cerebral Palsy
- Dyxlexia
- Headaches
- Insomnia
- Neck pain
- Sinusitis
- Stress
- Anxiety
- Circulation of body’s lymph system
Visceral Osteopathy
A visceral osteopathic treatment can help relieve imbalances and restrictions that exist between the organs and structures of the body.
Visceral Osteopathy is useful for treating the following conditions:
- Digestive problems
- Gastroesophageal reflex disease (GERD)
- Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
- Infertility (caused by mechanical restriction)
- Incontinence
- Swallowing difficulties
- Headaches
- Back and neck pain
- Shoulder and hip pain
- Carpal tunnel and other repetitive strain injuries
- Whiplash and other physical trauma
Osteodouce: Energetic Osteopathy
- Observe the Movement of Life within the physical system to determine the degree of restriction and constriction;
- Connect to the quantum field of energy to bring the physical system back into homeostasis and in alignment with its original blueprint of health and vitality.
- Locate which tissues, organs or systems are involved that is causing an imbalance in the body;
- Assess which bone, ligament, tendon, fascia, and muscle are involved in creating the physical imbalance(s);
- Connect to the visceral organs like the liver, gall bladder, pancreas, spleen, lungs, heart, kidneys, bladder, and reproductive organs to determine the emotional issues stored in these tissues;
- Assess which of the 11 systems in the human body, which includes the Integumentary System, Skeletal System, Muscular System, Nervous System, Endocrine System, Cardiovascular System, Lymphatic System, Respiratory System, Digestive System, Urinary System, and Reproductive System are being affected by these imbalances. On an unseen level, these systems work together to sustain life and enable cellular interaction within the physical body. For example, the circulatory system, which is powered by the heart, has a network of blood, blood vessels, and lymph that distributes oxygen, hormones and essential nutrients to the organs. When this system is compromised, it will affect the circulation to the heart, creating chronic conditions like high or low blood pressure, clogged arteries, etc.
- Appropriate remedial exercises to facilitate greater integration within the physical body system.
- the anatomy and physiology of the body and how it relates to the 11 systems in the human body;
- how to connect to the quantum universe to facilitate energetic alignments within the physical body;
- how to assess and contact the movement of life within each tissue, organ or system;
- how to harmonize each area of the body for greater and greater alignment with its original design;
- remedial exercises to facilitate further integration within the system.
